The Walker Family

Sandy Walker: Drawn to Papio Creek by the genuine friendliness of the people she met.
Sandy Walker and her family began attending Papio Creek in the past year. The Current recently interviewed Sandy.

What is your occupation?
The majority of my time is spent being a homemaker. I work (very) part time for Arts For All as well as a bit of freelance writing.

What do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy spending time with my children, Luke and Laramie, especially now that Luke leaves in May for basic training. I am trying
to fit in as much as I can with him between now and then. I also enjoy volunteering for the Great Dane rescue. We
adopted our dog Caden through the rescue and we help out at various events and fundraisers.

What drew you to Papio Creek?
I was drawn to Papio Creek by the genuine friendliness of the people I met.

What do you like about Papio Creek?
How much room do you have? There is so much to like! Darrin's messages are Bible based and apply to my life. I enjoy the
music very much. Laramie loves coming to church on Sundays and that is so wonderful.

How are you involved with Papio Creek?
I am on the rotation to help out in the children's facility once a month, and I enjoy helping with the set up for some of
the smaller special services, such as Thanksgiving and Lent. Last summer I had a blast helping with VBS and look forward to it
this summer as well.

What is your vision for Papio Creek?
My vision is that Papio Creek continue to foster strong faith in the children that attend, encourage more youth to attend, and
help them grow up with a relationship with Jesus.
