Auditorium SetupRevised 10-15-05

 

Arrive at 8:45 a.m. (you may find it goes faster if you arrange for someone to help you)

 

Set-up checklist:

 

  1. Put the metal Papio Creek Church sidewalk marquee (the marquee is stored in the basement under the stage).  Make this one of your first tasks please.
  2. Get the 3 Visitors Parking Signs from the basement and attach them to the three spots on the exterior north wall of the Rock (there are three screws in the wall where they go).
  3. Adjust the thermostats on the south side of the auditorium and on the stairway up to the coffee shop (65 degrees and set on heat in the winter; set on cool and 71 degrees during the summer). 
  4. Adjust the thermostats in the Childrens Facility (70 degrees and set on heat in the winter; set on cool and 70 degrees during the summer). 
  5. Arrange chairs as needed in the auditorium.  (Set up 1-2 rows on the first level, 3-4 rows each on the 2nd and 3rd levels; additional chairs can be added if the attendance warrants.)
  6. Set up the small square tables with chairs on the fourth level. 
  7. The Communications Table is to be located under the vinyl sign in the lobby (east wall).  There should be 2 small square tables on the south side of the lobby for bulletins and name.  
  8. A long table is to be located at the rear on the north wall for the Small Group display board. 
  9. Put up the Papio Creek vinyl sign (stored in the closets in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building) in the lobby.  (Wires are attached to the sign.  Fasten the wires to the screws located next to ceiling are on the shelf made by the false ceiling.) 
  10. Put up the banners using the extension rod.  (The banners are stored in the closets in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building.) 
  11. Put the artificial plants on the stage.  (Stored in the closets in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building.) 
  12. Take the spotlight from the Red Building (located in the main room on the upper level) to the coffee shop.  Locate the extension cord that should be in the room west of Darrins office to take with it. 
  13. Pick up the offering plates (stored in the closets or shelves in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building).  Put the offering plates on the Sound Booth ledge. 
  14. Put The Rock Bibles at the end of each row of chairs, one in the middle of the long rows and one on each of the square tables. (The Bibles are stored in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building.) 
  15. For special events, put up extra tables.  Extra round tables and rectangular tables are in the shed.  (Note:  The key to the shed is in the cash register drawer in the coffee shop.)  Put plastic tablecloths on the round tables. 
  16. Assist with setting up the small stage (if needed on special occasions).

 Tear down checklist:

  1. Take down Papio Creek vinyl sign in lobby (put the sign in the closets in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building). 
  2. Assist with any other activities to prepare auditorium for next usage.  As long as the River is using the auditorium, you do not need to put up any of the chairs or tables we usually set up.  You also do not need to return the spotlight. 
  3. Take down the banners using the extension rod.  Fold up neatly in sheet.  (Store in the closets in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building.) 
  4. Vacuum the area under the snack table.  There is a vacuum in the basement or you can use our vacuum in the Childrens Facility. 
  5. Put away the dcor on the stage (artificial plants, etc.).  (The dcor is stored in the closets in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building.) 
  6. Pick up The Rock Bibles from the end of each row of chairs and on the tables (The Bibles should be stored in the storage room west of Darrins office on the upper level of the Red Building). 
  7. Pick up the offering plates and return them to the Red Building. 
  8. Get the 3 Visitors Parking from the three spots on the exterior north wall of the Rock and put them in the basement (leave the three screws in the wall where they go).
  9. Get the marquee from the front of the Rock and put it in the basement.
  10. Adjust the thermostats on the south side of the auditorium and on the stairway up to the coffee shop (58 degrees and set on heat in the winter; set on off during the summer). 
  11. Shut off the bathroom lights and any other lights not needed in the Rock. 
  12. Adjust the thermostats in the Childrens Facility (60 degrees and set on heat in the winter; set on cool and 78 degrees during the summer).  
  13. Check with the sound and light people to make sure that all video, sound and light controls have been turned off (this includes the Yamaha EQ on the stage and the sound control in the coffee shop). 
  14. If used for a special event, take down the round tables and extra rectangular tables and put them back where you found them. 
  15. Assist with stage extension tear down (if needed).
