Parent's Day Out Director Ms. Chris

What seems long ago, I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Early Childhood Psychology. I have been married to my husband Scot for 15 years this December. We reside in the Springfield area with our 3 children, Jacob who just started junior high, Ashley is a third grader this year and Amanda who is almost 3 joins us here at PDO. Our newest addition to the family is our English Bulldog named Murphey, and we have a fish named Willy.

I have led the PDO program since the day we opened 5 years ago. God has truly blessed this program and we have seen incredible growth within pdo, as well as growing His Kingdom by many of our pdo families joining us in the church as well. I have worked in several different day out programs for the past 11 years as a substitute, then to teacher, and now as the director. I have also used day out programs for my own children when they were younger. With my past experience in all areas of the day out program, I strive to build the best program I can for all of our staff members, families and your children. We do attend Papio Creek Church as well as a local church in Springfield closer to our home.

When not at Papio Creek, I keep very busy with my children's school and sporting events. Both of my older children are avid soccer players and Jacob is now playing football too. I like to be as involved of a parent as time allows by volunteering at their schools, church youth groups, PTO and Girl Scouts. As a family we like to camp or vacation when we can.

I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity of leading Papio Creek Parent's Day Out. The best part of my job is getting to work with an awesome group of Christian women, and getting to know all the wonderful families who come to our program. Parent's Day Out Baby Room Ms. Roxi

Ms. Roxi graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a BS in Business Administration. She went on to get her real estate brokers license and managed rental property for over 15 years. She also enjoyed teaching aerobics at the YMCA for 6 years.

Ms. Roxi has been married to her husband Steve for 27 years this past June. She was born, raised and still lives in Bellevue. “Wow, people are surprised that I am a native from Bellevue (pretty rare).” Steve and Roxi raised their children in Papillion. Roxi has been a member of the GFWC Papillion Junior Woman's Club for over 21 years. She has been involved in many volunteer activities over those years. She is currently the Arbor Day chairman for Papillion which involves a poster contest for 4th grade students and a big ceremony with the city. Come enjoy a funnel cake or the Duck Derby at Papillion Days!

Ms. Roxi’s son graduated this summer from UNL and is currently working at Mutual of Omaha. Our daughter, son-in-law & precious Abigail live in Council Bluffs. It is a pleasure to work with my daughter Amanda in the caterpillar room . Steve and Roxi are members of Life Spring Church and enjoy the Christian friendships they have made over the years. Ms. Roxi has been in the caterpillar room at Papio Creek PDO for four wonderful years. “I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to love and play with your children. The smiles and coo's of the babies are priceless.”

Steve and Roxi live on a lake and in their spare time we are outside enjoying nature with two dogs, Bernie and Duke. “We love to travel and if you don't see me at PDO just know I am on a trip or playing with Abigail.”
